Liberation In Eastern Mosul Apparently Not Yet Complete

The commander of Iraq's counterterrorism forces has declared that his units has accomplished its mission in eastern Mosul, reports Rudaw (Iraqi Kurdistan).

Mosul, which has been held by ISIS fighters since 2014, is bisected by the Tigris River. The western side is still controlled by the terrorist group. Iraq's elite Counter-Terror Service (CTS) spearheaded the operation to retake the city.
