Lawyer Charges Croatian Defense Minister With War Crimes

A Serbian lawyer has pressed charges against Croatian Defense Minister Damir Krsticevic for actions allegedly taken during the conflict in the Balkans in the 1990s, reports the Croatian News Agency.

The charges, entered on Jan. 12, allege that Krsticevic was involved in the killing of 81 Serb civilians in 1995 while he commanded Croatia's 4th Brigade, reported Serbia’s Politika newspaper.

The minister denied the allegations and said the unit was not in Bravnice, near Jajce, Bosnia...
