Lawmakers Give Overseas Military Missions Another Year

The South Korean National Assembly has extended the deployment of military personnel around the world, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).

Two of the motions passed on Friday called for extending the mandate of the South Korean contingents assigned to the U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and the U.N. Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) until the end of 2018.
