Lawmakers Extend Missions In Somalia, U.A.E.

The South Korean Parliament has extended the deployment of troops to Somalia and the United Arab Emirates, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).
On Friday, the defense committee of the National Assembly approved an extension to the deployment of the anti-piracy Cheonghae unit off the coast of Somalia.
It also extended the deployment of the Akh special operations unit in its training mission in the United Arab Emirates.
Both missions were extended for another year.
