Lawmakers Express Concern Over Reserve Readiness

Taiwanese legislators have questioned the readiness of the country's reserve forces, reports the Taiwan News.
On Tuesday, the Parliament's budget center noted that 60 percent, or 450,000, of Taiwan's 2.3 million reservists have not received training in the eight years since they were discharged.
In August, about 770,000 reservists were eligible for refresher training but only 300,000 received it, noted the center.
