The U.K. may find itself vulnerable to future threats because of its "woefully low" number of warships, warned British lawmakers in a report cited on Monday by London's Daily Telegraph.
The Royal Navy's fleet of frigates and destroyers is "way below" what is needed and could fall to "completely unacceptable" levels unless the Defense Ministry accelerates its shipbuilding program, said the report from the defense committee in the House of Commons.
