An Iraqi legislator from the Iraqiya bloc was shot and killed Monday by gunmen in western Mosul, the BBC reports.
Bashar al-Ageidi was outside when his house when two gunmen got out of their car and shot him in the chest, said police. Ageidi later died of his wounds.
In the confusion, one of the attackers was unable to get back in the vehicle and was captured, police said.
