The U.S. Navy plans to christen its latest Virginia-class nuclear-powered attack submarine on Saturday at the Huntington Ingalls shipyard in Newport News, Va., reports the Dept. of Defense.
Vice President Mike Pence, a former governor of Indiana, will deliver the principal address during the ceremony.
The Indiana (SSN-789) is the 16th sub in the class and the sixth in the Block III configuration, the Pentagon said in a release.
