An Indonesian naval ship has sunk off the coast of Kangean Island in the Java Sea, reports the Jakarta Post.
On Tuesday, the Teluk Jakarta tank landing ship suffered a number of leaks while conducting logistics operations in the region before sinking in waters 295 feet (90 m) deep, the navy said.
Waves reached heights of 8 feet (2.5 m) to 13 feet (4 m) at the time.
All 55 crewmembers escaped safely and were rescued by nearby civilian ships, the service said.
