Three suicide bombers targeted a Shi'ite mourning procession late Wednesday in Pakistan's eastern city of Lahore, the Dawn (Pakistan) reports.
At least 31 people were killed and 281 others were wounded in the blasts, security officials said. The death toll is expected to rise, officials said Thursday.
The procession, involving thousands of people, marked the anniversary of the death of caliph Ali, one of Shi'ite Islam's most respected holy men.
