L3Harris To Design Long-Endurance USV For DARPA

The U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has awarded L3Harris a contract to design a long-range uncrewed surface vessel, reports the defense firm.
The contract, the value of which was not disclosed, covers work under phase one of the two-phase No Manning Required Ship (NOMARS) program, which aims to demonstrate the reliability and feasibility of a USV during long missions, L3Harris said in a Tuesday release.
