On Oct. 23, 2026, the U.S. Army awarded L3Harris Technologies a contract of up to US$60 million over three years to build an extended-range missile for its Xtended Range Counter-sUAS Missile program.
In the second stage of the program, L3Harris will have the interceptor complete flight tests to evaluate how it performs in the air. Powered by a ramjet engine that burns fuel more efficiently, the missile also features an affordable, modular build that works with existing U.S. platforms.
