L-3 To Provide Strike Packages For Special Ops Aircraft

The Pentagon has awarded L-3 Communications TCS, Warner Robins, Ga., a contract to install a strike package aboard Air Force special operations aircraft, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The $61 million contract covers eight precision strike kits and eight installations on MC-130W Combat Spear aircraft.
The MC-130W is used for infiltration, exfiltration and resupply of special operations forces.
Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting authority.
