Kurdish fighters have pushed the Islamic State from more than a dozen Assyrian Christian villages in Syria, says a monitoring group, as reported by Agence France-Presse.
After a 10-day offensive, the Kurdish peshmerga took back 14 villages in northeastern Syria that ISIS had controlled since February, according to the U.K.-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Wednesday.
