The Russian government has demanded that a proposed cooperation deal with NATO include a provision limiting the number of troops in new member states in Central Europe, Reuters reports, citing the local Kommersant daily.
The demand to limit "significant military forces" was reportedly included in a draft Russia-NATO cooperation agreement presented last December to NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
