In a joint effort with its neighbors, Uganda bombed bases of the rebel Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) in Garamaba forest in northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday, Uganda's New Vision reports.
The airstrikes were supported by the Congolese and Sudanese ground forces, said Ugandan military officials.
"The three armed forces successfully attacked the main body and destroyed the main camp of Kony code-named Camp Swahili, setting it on fire," said the officials.
