The Russian government says Ukraine has abducted two Russian soldiers in Crimea, a charged denied by Kiev, reports Agence France-Presse.
The Kremlin annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014.
The two servicemen were "illegally detained and removed from Crimea by Ukrainian security force on Sunday," according to a statement by the Russian Defense Ministry carried the next day by domestic media.
