Kidnapped U.S. Contractor Displayed By Militant Group

A Shi'ite militant group in Baghdad says it has kidnapped an American contractor working for the U.S. military, the Washington Post reports.

Issa Salomi, 60, was last seen on Jan. 23, said U.S. military officials. A militant statement and video released Thursday indicates he was seized by the group called the League of the Righteous.

The Pentagon has acknowledged that an American contractor for the Defense Dept. is missing.
