Key Town Seized By Kurdish Fighters

Syrian Kurdish fighters and their rebel allies say they have taken the strategic town of Tal Abyad from the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group, reports Al Jazeera (Qatar).
Tal Abyad, which is about 100 km (62 mi) north of Raqqa, was "under complete control," said a spokesman for the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) on Monday.
Backed by Syrian rebels and airstrikes from the U.S.-led coalition, the YPG began its offensive against the border town on June 11.
