Kenyans, Somalis Fight Off Al-Shabaab Attack

At least eight people have been killed in fighting with militants in southern Somalia.
Somali forces, backed by Kenyan troops, battled Al-Shabaab insurgents in the Lower Jubba region on Tuesday, reports the Shabelle Media Network (Mogadishu).
The fighting began after insurgents armed with rocket-propelled grenades and machine guns attacked pro-government bases in the town of Badhadhe, said a Somali military official.
