The U.S. Air Force's new tanker has passed its first aerial refueling trial, say service officials, as reported by the Seattle Times.
The KC-46 Pegasus aerial refueler passed jet fuel to an F-16 fighter in the air during Sunday’s test over Eastern Washington.
The tanker delivered 1,600 pounds (725 kg) of fuel, with flight testers calling the mission a complete success.
The trial was also the first involving Boeing's new advanced refueling boom.
