Kandahar Religious Official Killed In Bombing

A provincial Afghan official and his driver were killed Wednesday in Kandahar province by a roadside bomb, Press TV (Iran) reports.
A remote-controlled device hidden on a motorcycle exploded as the official was leaving his office, said a witness.
The official was in charge of managing Islamic religious institutions and arranging pilgrimages.
Three other people were reportedly injured in the blast.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
