KAI Prepares New MPA For S. Korean Air Force

Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) revealed a maritime patrol variant of its MC-X transport aircraft concept at last week’s MADEX show in Busan in southern South Korea. The MPA concept is in the initial stages but is seen as a potential replacement for the South Korean air force’s CN-235 fleet, which is due to retire in the next few years. Further details of the MPA configuration are expected to be finalized in 2024.
