K-Max Could Have Inside Track In Marine Corps' Plan For Unmanned Cargo System

The Marine Corps has decided to keep using K-Max optionally manned helicopters as part of its efforts to develop operational concepts for a potential follow-on procurement program, reports Flight International.
Test squadron VMX-22 will use two aircraft, now designated CQ-24As, to "develop concept of operations and tactics, techniques and procedures, and to help inform any program of record," according to the Naval Air Systems Command.
