Joint Naval Drill With Russia, China Kicks Off

Iran, Russia and China are holding joint maritime exercises in the northern Indian ocean, reports the Times of Israel.
The Maritime Security Belt drills were scheduled to begin on Friday, reported Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
The exercise is intended to strengthen security in the region, an Iranian armed forces spokesman said. The training is expected to include rescuing a burning vessel, releasing a hijacked vessel and engaging aerial targets at night.
