Israel and Russia have agreed to coordinate their military activities to avoid accidents in Syria, says an Israeli military officer cited by Reuters.
A coordination team will be headed by the deputy armed forces chiefs of each country and will hold its first meeting by Oct. 5, said the officer on Thursday.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin came to the agreement on Monday.
