Joint Air Exercises Planned With Russia

The Kazakh and Russian air forces have scheduled a joint exercise next week in Kazakhstan, reports Interfax-AVN (Russia).

The tactical command post drills will include paratrooper drops and simulated air strikes, officials said.

The Russian air force is expected to send about 20 aircraft for the training, including Su-24 and Tu-22 bombers, Il-76 cargo planes and Mi-8 helicopters.

The exercise is scheduled for June 20-29.
