The U.S. Navy has christened the first ship in its new class of replenishment oilers, reports the service.
On Saturday, the John Lewis (TAO-205) was christened during a ceremony in San Diego, Calif.
The John Lewis-class replenishment oilers were designed to commercial standards and will replace the Henry J. Kaiser-class ships, noted USNI News.
