An Islamist alliance in northwestern Syrian has ousted its rivals in Idlib province after heavy fighting last week, reports Al Jazeera (Qatar).
There was heavy fighting for days last week between Tahrir al-Sham, which includes former Al-Qaida-affiliate Nusra Front (later renamed Jabhat Fatah al-Sham), and Ahrar al-Sham, a rebel group with a foothold across Syria.
