French authorities have arrested a man said to be associated with the Islamic State accused of planning to attack at a major naval base, say police and judicial sources cited by Agence France-Presse.
The unnamed 25-year-old was held in late October and charged on Nov. 2, said the sources on Tuesday.
The suspect had been under surveillance for supporting "jihadist ideology," and had attempted to travel to Syria twice last year, said the Interior Ministry.
