JHSV Module Damaged In Shipyard Accident

There has been a construction accident to a Joint High-Speed Vessel (JHSV) at an Alabama shipyard.

A 50-ton block for the second JHSV was damaged over the weekend at the Austal USA shipyard in Mobile, reports the Navy Times.

The block, which is one of 44 in a complete ship, contained the ship's service diesel generators, which provide power to run the vessel, said Austal.

The block apparently broke loose, fell about three feet and tipped over, according to the shipbuilder. ...
