French troops are waiting for a shipment of 260 U.S.-built Javelin antitank missiles and 76 launchers to arrive so they can begin training before deploying to Afghanistan, Defense News reports.
The $70 million Javelin contract was signed in July as part of a Foreign Military Sale deal.
The weapon was chosen after a competition that included MBDA, which offered the Milan ER, and Rafael of Israel, which offered the Spike.
