Indonesia has signed a memorandum of understanding with South Korea for the joint development of a 4.5-generation fighter, Defense News reports.
The project has been delayed for years due to budget and technical problems.
South Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) said that Seoul will foot 60 percent of the projected $4.1 billion costs over the next decade.
