Jakarta Distances Itself From Blame Over Missing British, Dutch WWII Shipwrecks

Indonesia's government has refused to take the blame for the disappearance of at least six World War II-era shipwrecks, which are considered war graves, reports Agence France-Presse.

Three Dutch vessels, three British navy ships and a U.S. submarine that were sunk during the Battle of the Java Sea have apparently been removed by illegal scavengers looking for scrap metal, reported the Guardian (U.K.).
