Jakarta Considers F-16 Options

The Indonesian military is studying a U.S. offer to donate two squadrons of older F-16 fighters, reports Antara News, Indonesia's national news agency.
The military must determine the budget requirements for operating and maintaining the 24 F-16A/B fighters before acquiring them, said Adm. Agus Suhartono, the military chief.
Washington also offered to sell Jakarta the latest F-16C/D aircraft, but Indonesia turned that down due to budget limitations, he said.
