Iraq

The Iraqi navy last week took delivery of its second of four patrol ships at Fincantieri's shipyard in Muggiano, Italy, reports the shipbuilder.

The patrol ship Nasir, Arabic for victory, will be escorted by Italian and U.S. Navy vessels during its one-month transit to the Persian Gulf, where it will begin patrolling Iraq's exclusive economic zone (EEZ).

The third vessel in the class is scheduled to be delivered to Iraq by the end of the year.
