Italian Company Wins Military Truck Award, Renault Protests

France has finalized a deal with Italian company Iveco for 200 heavy trucks for the army, Defense News reports.

The contract was not announced officially, but has been reported in the French press. The deal was protested by the French firm that lost the bidding.

The contract, said to be worth 160 million euros ($214 million), calls for deliveries to take place in 2013 and 2014.
