The Italian ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo has been killed in an attack in the eastern North Kivu province, reports ABC News.
On Monday, Luca Attanasio, a member of the Italian Carabinieri and a driver were killed in an attack on a U.N. peacekeeping convoy in Goma, the capital of North Kivu province, the Italian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
