Israelis Worry Over Possible Indonesian Peacekeeping Command

Israeli officials have expressed concern over an upcoming change in the command of UNIFIL's naval force off the Lebanese coast, the Jerusalem Post reports.

Since November, Italy has been in charge of the UNIFIL Maritime Task Force, which is composed of naval forces from Germany, Greece, Italy and Turkey.

Italy is scheduled to step down in June, and Indonesia is considered a possible replacement. Indonesia and Israel do not have formal diplomatic or military relations.
