Islamists Attack Military Base In Abyan Province

Islamist militants have attacked an army base in southern Yemen, Reuters reports.
Fighters launched a dawn attack on Monday against the camp, located near the city of Lawdar, Abyan province, said military officials.
Four soldiers, a pro-government tribesman and 20 Islamists were killed, officials and residents said.
Five Islamists were killed in a government airstrike directed at a military checkpoint that the militants had captured, said officials.
