An Al-Qaida-linked group in southern Yemen says it has seized 20 army tanks, reports UPI.
Ansar al-Sharia, an offshoot of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), said it stole the tanks from the town of Lawdar on Sunday.
There was no immediate comment from the army.
The group has clashed with government forces over the past month.
