The U.S.-led coalition against the Islamic State plans to focus more of its efforts on ISIS holdings in Syria, reports the Wall Street Journal.
At first, U.S. officials concentrated on Iraq and efforts to halt the expansion of ISIS-held territory there. But, U.S. and European leaders are now putting more emphasis on ISIS activities in Syria.
The move comes as Europe is beset with refugees fleeing the conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa. Many come from Syria.
