Pakistan has outlawed the Taliban-linked Haqqani network following a request by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, reports Reuters.
The ban is a part of the action plan against terrorism begun after the attack on an army-run school in Peshawar last month that killed almost 150 people, said a Cabinet member on Friday.
A formal announcement of the ban will be made in the following weeks, said the official.
