Several members of the religious police force run by the Islamic State terrorist group in Syria have reportedly been kidnapped, reports BBC News.
The personnel of the Hisbah force were ambushed and kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Mayadin in eastern Syria, according to the U.K.-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
It was unclear how many members were taken on Wednesday, the organization said.
