A local Iraqi commander says Islamic State fighters wearing army uniforms ambushed a government convoy on Sunday, killing 10 security personnel, reports Agence France-Presse.
ISIS fighters "armed with assault rifles and rocket launchers" attacked a convoy of civilian and military vehicles Sunday in a remote desert region in western Anbar province, said one army lieutenant colonel.
The convoy included border guards, Anbar police and soldiers, he said.
