The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for an attack on Monday against the Iraqi Embassy in Kabul, reports Rudaw (Iraqi Kurdistan).
Authorities said a car bomb was detonated near the embassy near the Shar-e-Naw neighborhood. Three gunmen then stormed the building, said security officials.
At the time, fighting was ongoing and the gunmen were holed up inside, said officials.
