Afghan and U.S. officials say the Islamic State (ISIS) is making inroads in Afghanistan as U.S. and coalition forces have withdrawn from remote areas to larger cities, reports the Hill (Washington, D.C.).
ISIS has established a presence in three Afghan provinces, according to recent accounts. Warlord Gulbuddin Hekmatyar announced over the weekend that he would support the group, the officials said.
