The Libyan National Army (LNA), loyal to eastern militia leader Khalifa Haftar, says that it killed a top Islamic State leader during a raid in southern Libya earlier this month, reports Reuters.
The operation targeted ISIS members in the southern desert city of Sebha, an LNA spokesman said on Wednesday.
Nine militants were killed, including the leader of ISIS in Libya, Abu Moaz al-Iraqi, also known as Abu Abdullah al-Iraqi, the spokesman said.
