The Islamic State terrorist group says it had destroyed two ancient tombs near the Syrian city of Palmyra, reports Al Jazeera (Qatar).
The tombs, nor far from the 2,000-year-old World Heritage Site, are considered to be sacrilegious shrines by the Islamic group.
Images seen on a jihadist website purport to show the tombs being blown up on Saturday, reported CBC News.
