Following its final tests, the Israeli Iron Dome short- and medium-range missile defense system will be deployed this November, say defense officials cited by Agence France-Presse.
The interceptor system is primarily designed to counter threats from Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
Two batteries will be involved with the system's initial deployment near Gaza, military officials said.
